Our goal is to make music education accessible to everyone, regardless of where they are, and by offering both personal lessons in central Helsinki and distance lessons, we strive to give every student the opportunity to explore their musical potential in the way that suits them best.

Our pedagogy at Plektra Musik embraces a diversity of music styles, including pop, rock, jazz, blues, classical, acoustic and folk music. As well as music theory, composition, improvisation, note reading and music production
From Then to Now and the Future
Welcome to Plektra, a music school founded by Tomi West, a passionate guitar teacher and trained music pedagogue from Helsinki. What started as a side project in 2017 has grown and evolved over time into a larger vision of providing music education that not only teaches technique, but also inspires and encourages creativity.
At Plektra we have an exciting project in the planning to create an online music education platform with a strong pedagogical focus. Our goal is to provide accessible, affordable, and quality music education for everyone, regardless of where they are.
